Client Business Need and Background:

Cedar Valley needed a way to easily convert all a Cardiologist’s patient charts to an electronic format (pdf) so that he could successfully leave the practice with all his records. Cedar Valley didn’t want to hassle with the labor intensive and unpredictable nature of sending 100’s of charts to a virtual pdf printer, so they looked to EHR for the Chart2PDF solution.

How EHR helped:

EHR installed the Chart2PDF add-on into the Enterprise EHR workflow. (see chart2pdf.ehr-integration.com for more information)

Significant Results/Impact as a result of this project:

- Simplified the transition process for a doctor leaving the practice

- Can now easily satisfy any audit and insurance requests for patient charts by batching thousands of charts to pdf on off-hours so that there is no impact on daily performance

- Can now respond to patient requests by quickly putting their entire chart on a CD or thumb drive and handing it to the patient right there
